Advanced Co-Extrusion Solutions for PUR Lamination and Flat Paste Technologies
Overcoming the limitations of traditional building skins via co-extruded structural polymers
In modern architectural design, the boundary between interior comfort and exterior structure has blurred. Key to this shift is the deployment of high-performance surface coatings and films. As global regulatory bodies push for stricter VOC control, traditional wet-paint finishes are losing ground. Dry-laminated films, particularly co-extruded PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol), GAG, and hybrid PVC formulations, have emerged as the standard for commercial projects. These materials deliver exceptional UV-degradation protection and mechanical surface integrity.
Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. leads this transition by fabricating structural decorative layers. Our co-extruded films resist yellowing, micro-cracking, and moisture ingress. Designed for automated production lines, they are compatible with PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) flat paste lamination. This allows manufacturing plants to laminate substrates like exterior fiber-cement boards, metallic sheets, and WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) wallboards at high speed. The result is a highly stable protective skin ready for challenging environments.
Technical Insight: By incorporating targeted benzotriazole-based UV absorbers directly into the co-extrusion matrix, our films block up to 99.8% of solar radiation in the 290–400nm spectrum. This protects the core pigment layer from photochemical breakdown and extends color stability (Delta E < 1.0) under intense solar exposure.
Our co-extruded exterior structural films resist cyclic humidity, extreme thermal fluctuations, and industrial atmospheric pollutants. The outer protective cap prevents surface hazing and delamination.
Utilizing high-end co-extrusion lines, we fuse PETG, APET, and specialized PVC components into unified, multi-functional barriers. This guarantees excellent interlayer adhesion and superior tensile strength.
The chemical composition of our back-treatment ensures fast and permanent bonding when paired with hot-melt PUR adhesives. This prevents bubbling even under extreme thermal stress.
A Trusted Leader in High-Performance Decorative Film Innovation
Established in 2017, Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. builds on more than two decades of coating and hardening experience. As an innovative manufacturer of technical PET, PETG, GAG, and PVC films, we focus on the research, development, and high-precision production of functional architectural and furniture laminates.
We operate a comprehensive production facility covering extrusion, precision coating, multi-layer laminating, and high-accuracy slitting. This setup ensures consistent quality and long-term durability for every batch. Supported by our Class 100,000 dust-free workshops and advanced testing labs, we deliver high-performance decorative surfaces to OEM facade manufacturers, cabinet makers, and laminated board exporters worldwide.
Providing robust, modern options for commercial and industrial panel manufacturing
Our UV-resistant GAG and PETG films provide a durable, wood-free cladding solution for modern home facades. They feature high scratch resistance and keep their color without needing painting or sealing.
Designed to handle high wind loads and physical impacts, our laminated films protect underlying metallic and composite substrates on commercial structures, reducing maintenance costs.
For prefab houses and modular assemblies, our films are laminated directly onto magnesium oxide and fiber-cement boards. This speeds up onsite installation and ensures immediate weather resistance.
We support whole-house customization and panel manufacturers by supplying high-performance, cost-effective alternatives to natural wood veneer, stone slabs, and aluminum cladding. Our PETG and GAG films recreate premium natural textures with excellent fidelity.
Our product structure features clean back-priming, making it ready for automated, high-speed PUR laminators. This optimization increases processing speeds, lowers adhesive usage, and reduces peeling or edge curling.
Meeting international environmental, fire-safety, and toxicity standards
Exporting building products requires meeting strict regulatory standards. Global building materials must comply with environmental laws such as Europe's REACH and RoHS regulations, and North America's TSCA Title VI. Our functional PETG, GAG, and PVC films are manufactured without heavy metals, plasticizers, or hazardous phthalate additives.
By using safe raw materials and running a Class 100,000 dust-free production environment, we ensure our decorative films do not release toxic emissions under high thermal stress. This makes them ideal for green building designs aiming for LEED or BREEAM certification.
Our films are verified free of toxic substances, facilitating smooth customs clearance across European and North American ports.
Specialized flame-retardant options help composite panels achieve high fire ratings for commercial interiors and exteriors.

Engineered performance optimized for diverse installation environments
Our waterproof PVC and PETG films prevent structural board swelling near cooktops and high-humidity wash areas.
Our films deliver deep-matting and anti-fingerprint finishes, bringing a modern aesthetic to walk-in closets and dressing rooms.
Ideally suited for hotels, retail stores, and offices, our high-scratch-resistance films withstand frequent abrasion and cleaning.
Our exterior-grade weatherable films protect uPVC window and door profiles from solar radiation, keeping colors stable over time.
Anticipating next-generation material requirements for architectural and design partners
The demand for eco-friendly building materials drives our technical developments. Ganzhou Zhongyou's R&D program focuses on three main targets: reducing dependency on fossil-based feedstocks, introducing smart surface coatings, and enhancing flame retardancy for tall exterior installations.
We are developing bio-based PETG polymers derived from agricultural waste, which will match the performance of traditional petroleum-based resins. We are also optimizing self-healing surface chemistries. Under ambient sunlight or heat, micro-scratches on these films self-repair, maintaining a clean finish over the product's lifespan.

Addressing core technical questions from facade developers, architects, and processing managers
PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is a glycol-modified variant that offers high impact resistance, chemical durability, and clarity. GAG is a three-layer co-extruded structural film (PETG/APET/PETG). It balances the processing ease of PETG on the surfaces with the cost efficiency and rigidity of APET in the core.
We add concentrated ultraviolet stabilizers (UVA/HALS blockers) to the top layer during co-extrusion. This protects both the polymer matrix and color pigments from yellowing, chalking, and mechanical degradation under intense sunlight.
Yes. Our films feature a specialized back-primer treatment that enhances bonding with polyurethane reactive (PUR) hot-melt adhesives. This compatibility ensures a strong, heat-resistant bond on materials like PVC, MDF, steel, and fiber-cement.
Unlike solvent-painted finishes, our dry-laminate PETG films do not contain volatile organic compounds or plasticizers. Under temperature tests, they show near-zero formaldehyde and VOC emissions, complying with EU Class E1 and US CARB regulations.
