Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. has established itself as an absolute front-runner within the global high-performance coating and advanced hardening ecosystem. Leveraging over two decades of accumulated precision hardening expertise and technical refinement, the company remains a dominant manufacturer and exporter of specialty Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) sheet formulations, Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG), and multi-layer Glycol-modified / Amorphous co-extrusions (GAG).
Spanning a massive 60,000 square meter state-of-the-art production complex in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, our site operates 300 units of ultra-modern, high-speed automated extrusion lines, precision tension-controlled coating lines, multi-tier laminating networks, and high-accuracy micro-slitting systems. Our cleanroom production runs under a strict Class 100,000 (ISO 8) dust-free control scheme, which guarantees that zero microscopic particulates compromise the optical purity or the dynamic surface energy necessary for structural lamination.
• Extrusion capability from 0.15mm up to 2.0mm thickness with tolerance limits under ±0.01mm.
• Dynamic dual-stage corona treatment producing surface energy values exceeding 42 mN/m (dynes/cm) for outstanding PUR adhesion longevity.
• Proprietary multi-layer feedblock configuration allows for tailored GAG structuring, combining PETG’s surface clarity and scratch resilience with APET’s cost-efficiency and stiffness.
How regulatory frameworks, material scarcity, and the consumer shift toward safe, sustainable design are restructuring the global polymeric sheet market.
Modern building standards like LEED, BREEAM, and DGNB have accelerated the phase-out of traditional halogenated compounds. Builders and furniture giants are replacing flexible Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) sheets with Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG) and GAG co-extrusions due to their zero-plasticizer migration, low toxic smoke emissions during fire scenarios, and total compatibility with mechanical recycling loops.
The customization sector requires materials with superior structural stability. Traditional laminates are prone to stress cracking, color fading, and delamination when subjected to shifts in humidity. Zhongyou’s proprietary UV-curable, highly scratch-resistant PET surfaces exhibit superb thermal-dimensional stability under extreme fluctuations, ensuring flawless application on MDF, particleboard, and magnesium oxide panels.
The demand for ultra-matte finishes (gloss levels < 3 units) and high-gloss variants (gloss levels > 95 units) is surging. To meet these specifications, our PET films incorporate advanced, anti-fingerprint electron beam (EB) or UV-hardened layers that prevent micro-scratching. They achieve a pencil hardness rating of up to 2H to 3H, offering exceptional wear resistance in high-traffic applications.
Analyzing the material chemistry, co-extrusion parameters, and mechanical traits that distinguish Zhongyou’s PET sheets from conventional alternatives.
At the molecular level, standard Amorphous PET (APET) exhibits superior rigidity but can be highly brittle, especially when trimmed, slit, or punch-machined. By incorporating glycol-modified components (PETG), we generate GAG (PETG/APET/PETG) structures. The exterior PETG layers offer a ductile, impact-resistant surface that bonds easily with specialized adhesives, while the inner APET core supplies structural integrity and high tensile modulus.
This structural composition is optimized for PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) hot-melt lamination systems. Traditional EVA or PO hot-melts lack the chemical cross-linking needed for long-term thermal resistance. In contrast, when applying our PET or GAG film with PUR at temperatures ranging from 120°C to 140°C, the molecular alignment ensures zero wrinkling, zero shrinkage, and excellent lay-flat performance.
Zhongyou utilizes multi-functional vacuum-depositing and surface coating lines. To create our ultra-matte architectural film, we employ an excimer curing system. High-intensity 172nm vacuum UV radiation induces polymerization on the very surface of the liquid coating, forming a micro-structured, low-gloss finish with exceptional scratch and chemical resistance.
For our high-gloss solutions, we utilize a dust-controlled liquid thermal coating method that results in a glass-like finish. Free from surface orange peel or thermal distortion, these films achieve reflection rates of over 95%, making them ideal replacements for premium acrylic sheets in high-end kitchen cabinetry and commercial wall panel installations.
How we optimize material properties for flat paste systems, vacuum presses, and advanced laminating equipment.
In industrial manufacturing, line speed is directly tied to profitability. Our PETG and GAG films are engineered to process at speeds up to 45 meters per minute on high-speed PUR laminating equipment without edge lifting or bubbling.
We control surface tension levels across the film web through inline plasma treatments, ensuring consistent bonding. The film’s reverse side features a micro-textured profile that enhances glue mechanical anchoring, preventing delamination along profile wrapping corners or sharp radius edges.
By eliminating static charge buildup, our films prevent dust attraction during payoff. This ensures clean, defect-free lamination and reduces reject rates during high-volume production runs.
Ensuring material consistency and compliance with international standards through rigorous QC protocols.
Operating globally requires compliance with regional environmental standards. Ganzhou Zhongyou’s complete line of PET, PETG, GAG, and PVC decorative films is fully certified under key international regulatory frameworks:
REACH & RoHS Compliance: Formulations are free from heavy metals (Lead, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and restricted phthalate plasticizers (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP).
VOC & Emission Standards: Our films release zero volatile organic compounds during lamination and maintain an A+ emission rating in indoor air quality tests, supporting green building projects.
Every batch of film undergoes strict testing in our ISO 9001 certified laboratory before shipping. Our standard testing protocol includes:
Thermal Shrinkage Test: Exposure to 100°C for 10 minutes to verify shrinkage is limited to <1.5% in both MD (Machine Direction) and TD (Transverse Direction).
Chemical Resistance Testing: Assessment under DIN 68861 Group 1B, certifying resistance to common household agents like ethanol, coffee, oil, and dilute acids.
Answering standard technical questions regarding film processing, formulation differences, and storage recommendations.
PETG offers excellent transparency, chemical resistance, and toughness, making it easy to recycle and process without brittleness. GAG co-extrudes an APET core between PETG skin layers, balancing the mechanical strength and economy of APET with the bonding ease of PETG. PVC is cost-effective, but its plasticizers can migrate over time, and it releases hydrogen chloride gas under thermal load.
All our films receive dynamic double-sided corona treatment during extrusion. This process achieves a surface tension rating of 38 to 44 dynes/cm, ensuring chemical compatibility with polyurethane reactive (PUR) adhesives and UV inks.
We recommend storing films indoors in original packaging under controlled conditions (15°C to 25°C, 30% to 60% relative humidity). Avoid direct sunlight and contact with solvents. Stored properly, the material retains its processing properties for up to 12 months.
