During Moscow's winter shipping cycles, polymer films can experience temperatures well below 0°C. Cold storage can cause micro-crystallization in PETG materials, temporary changing their flexural rigidity.
We advise conditioning the film rolls in a heated processing room (held between 18°C and 22°C) for at least 48 hours before unrolling or laminating. This step restores the polymer's elasticity, preventing surface tension issues or micro-fracturing along tight profile-wrapped edges.
For optimal bonding with polyurethane (PUR) hot-melt adhesive systems, set the coating applicator between 130°C and 150°C, depending on the adhesive supplier's instructions. Maintain line speeds within 15–25 meters per minute, and adjust the calendering rolls to apply uniform pressure across the board width.
