View Product SpecsThe French furniture and interior decoration industry is witnessing an unprecedented shift toward minimalist, ultra-matte, and tactile surfaces. From Parisian residential renovations to high-end hospitality designs in Lyon and Bordeaux, architects and premium furniture manufacturers are demanding surface materials that go beyond aesthetics. There is a deep, structural demand for materials that are both visually silent and physically resilient.
Furthermore, French environmental laws are among the strictest in Europe. The AGEC Law (Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy) and strict VOC emission classifications (such as the French VOC Label A+) dictate that interior surfaces must be recyclable, non-toxic, and free of heavy metals or harmful plasticizers. As a result, traditional PVC materials are increasingly being replaced by advanced PET and PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) films. These materials provide a superior ecological footprint while meeting the mechanical performance criteria demanded by premium brands.
Skin-feel film meets these multi-faceted demands by deploying excimer laser or electron-beam (EB) curing technologies, resulting in an anti-fingerprint surface with a gloss rating below 1.5 Gloss Units (GU) at 60°. This creates a velvety, warm tactile sensation—commonly termed *toucher soyeux* in France—that transforms ordinary MDF and particle boards into luxury panels.
A trusted global leader in PET/PETG coating, hardening, and precision extrusion, delivering unmatched quality for industrial operations.
Established in 2017 with roots extending back over two decades in the precision coating and surface hardening industries, Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. has established itself as an innovative force. Operating a massive 60,000 m² factory footprint, we coordinate advanced extrusion lines, multi-layer coating systems, and high-cleanliness slitting networks to serve major markets across the EU, specifically France, Germany, and Italy.
Our commitment to research and development has enabled us to overcome standard industry limits on scratch resistance and fingerprint susceptibility. By maintaining a 100,000-level dust-free production environment, we guarantee that every roll of film is completely free of micro-impurities, which is critical for preventing bubble defects during PUR lamination on ultra-smooth panels.
Whether you are sourcing direct container shipments or customized OEM batches, our robust supply network ensures delivery of structural surface materials that perform under demanding mechanical loads.
A closer look at the polymer structures, surface processing methods, and manufacturing technologies that deliver superior durability.
Using 172nm excimer UV radiation, we initiate rapid polymerization of the outer skin layer without thermal stress. This process forms a micro-folded surface topography. Because the light waves do not penetrate deep, the structure develops high elasticity, scattering light effectively while creating a soft-touch texture.
Our advanced PETG formulation exhibits shape-memory properties. If a micro-scratch deforms the surface layer, applying moderate heat (such as a warm iron or hair dryer) causes the polymer chains to relax and return to their original configuration, effectively healing the blemish.
By applying a high-tension corona treatment to the back of our PET and GAG films, we increase surface energy to >42 dyne/cm. This ensures stable chemical bonding when using PUR hot melt adhesives, eliminating delamination issues even in high-humidity kitchen or bath environments.
Modern European kitchen styles rely heavily on handleless cabinet doors. Traditional matte paint is prone to fingerprint staining and chips easily. Our PETG skin-feel films resist finger oils (hydrophobic and oleophobic performance) and withstand physical impact, helping French cabinetry brands minimize field returns.
For high-traffic environments like hotels, corporate offices, and luxury retail stores, wall paneling must withstand constant cleaning and abrasive contact. Our thick PET/GAG films provide durable wear resistance while maintaining an elegant, glare-free aesthetic under spotlights.

Standard matte PET films are manufactured using mineral matte additives (like silica) that scatter light but leave a somewhat rough micro-texture. This textured finish can capture skin oils, leading to fingerprint smudges. Skin-feel PETG films utilize advanced excimer curing or specialized polymeric formulations to create a micro-folded surface topography. This design diffuses light waves to achieve an ultra-low gloss finish (typically <1.5 GU) while dispersing finger oils, keeping the surface free of prints and providing a smooth, velvety feel.
Our skin-feel PETG and GAG films are manufactured without halogenated compounds or volatile organic solvents. In contrast to standard PVC films, which can release chlorine gas when incinerated, PETG is highly recyclable and releases only water vapor and carbon dioxide during clean combustion. Tests show zero emissions of formaldehyde or hazardous organic compounds, helping our materials comfortably meet the criteria for the French VOC A+ emission label and comply with EU REACH requirements.
The surface coating on our skin-feel films features a cross-linked polymer network with shape-memory characteristics. When a micro-scratch occurs, the polymer structure is deformed rather than torn. Applying moderate heat (around 60°C to 80°C) with a damp cloth and an iron or heat gun allows the polymer chains to relax and return to their original flat state, effectively clearing the scratch.
For optimal results, ensure the base MDF or particle board is thoroughly cleaned and free of dust. We recommend applying polyurethane reactive (PUR) hot-melt adhesive at a weight of 40-60 g/m², with roll temperatures maintained between 120°C and 140°C depending on the adhesive system. Our films are treated to a surface tension of >42 dyne/cm to ensure reliable bonding and long-term resistance to peeling, even in high-humidity kitchens or bathrooms.
Our standard MOQ for custom color matches is 3,000 meters per specification, while standard stocked designs are available with lower minimums. Maritime shipping to French ports (such as Marseille or Le Havre) typically takes 30 to 35 days from the date of dispatch, with air freight options available for expedited project samples.
