Excimer UV Laser Matting Technology

Our skin-feel PETG and GAG films utilize a solvent-free UV-cured coating system. Under short-wavelength (172 nm) excimer light exposure, the top layer undergoes micro-folding and polymerization contraction prior to full cure. This micro-folding structure scatters light, achieving a reliable matte finish (< 2 GU) without the use of silica matting agents, which can degrade transparency and scratch resistance.

This micro-folded surface topography helps distribute local contact forces, reducing the appearance of fingerprints and micro-scratches. It also provides the characteristic soft, velvety skin-feel texture.

Future Roadmap: Self-Healing & Bio-Based Formulations

We are currently developing next-generation functional monomers that facilitate thermal self-healing.
