The Swiss confederation represents one of the most discerning construction markets globally. Driven by the strict national sustainability directive MINERGIE, building materials must not only display pristine structural characteristics but also present exceptional life-cycle ecological assessments. Historically, traditional polyvinyl chloride (PVC) laminates dominated furniture and wall surfacing. Today, however, Swiss builders, designers, and manufacturers are pivoting decisively toward Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG) and GAG (PETG-APET-PETG co-extruded structure) polymer configurations.
In locations like Zurich, Geneva, and Lausanne, high-end retail designs, luxury watch display cases, and upscale alpine chalets dictate surfacing options that mimic authentic Italian marble and high-end natural stones without the carbon footprint, weight, or cost profile of geological materials. Advanced marbling film solves these challenges by combining dynamic printing clarity with durable hard coats.
"The incorporation of PETG/GAG marbling films under modern Swiss ecological frameworks enables designers to meet low VOC emission rates (Class A+) while achieving high UV resistance, chemical resistance to strong household disinfectants, and structural durability."
Industrial suppliers in Switzerland look closely at the chemical makeup of imported raw materials. Under Swiss safety standards, flame-retardant performance and non-toxicity are key factors. Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. addresses these regulations by supplying halogen-free, eco-friendly PETG films that emit no toxic gases during high-temperature laminating or recycling. Our film applications support:
Established in 2017, Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. has been a pioneering force in the coating and hardening industry for over two decades. Why modern Swiss manufacturers choose Ganzhou Zhongyou decorative films over regional European suppliers.
Swiss processing factories prioritize cost-to-performance ratios and supply reliability. Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. provides direct manufacturing from our dust-free extrusion facility in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, offering deep advantages over local distributors:
| Performance Criteria | Zhongyou PETG / GAG Film | Standard European PVC | Natural Slate / Stone Veneers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ecology & VOCs | VOC-free, recyclable, no chlorine release | Contains plasticizers, difficult recycling | High carbon footprint extraction |
| PUR Machine Compatibility | Excellent chemical bond with PUR hot-melt | Moderate adhesion; risk of shrinking | Incompatible; requires thick mortars |
| High-Gloss Level | > 95 Gloss Units (GU) with mirror effect | Typically < 80 GU, prone to orange peel | Requires continuous heavy buffing |
| Flexural Stiffening | Excellent flexibility, zero edge-cracking | Brittle under cold alpine weather | Extremely brittle; breaks easily |
By sourcing directly from our factory in China, Swiss buyers bypass middlemen. We maintain tight raw material supply channels with top chemical suppliers, keeping product parameters consistent across runs, from density profile to heat shrinkage metrics.
Engineered for whole-house customization enterprises, furniture manufacturers, and laminate distributors.
Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Materials Co., Ltd. provides comprehensive surface decoration systems that rival authentic stone finishes at a competitive price. We customize surface gloss, scratch resistance, and back-primer formulations to ensure smooth processing on high-speed flat-paste PUR lines and vacuum pressing systems.
Swiss Project Case: An executive office lamination project in Geneva replaced imported natural stone panels with our high-gloss GAG marbling film. This upgrade reduced logistics costs by 75% and assembly time by 60%, while maintaining a premium appearance.
All film series undergo UV aging tests to ensure long-term color stability. Our films keep their patterns clean and clear, preventing yellowing even in sunlit spaces like hotel lobbies and commercial storefronts.

Detailed technical answers to common questions asked by Swiss architects, fabricators, and procurement directors.
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is a single, highly durable and flexible copolymer layer. GAG is a three-layer co-extruded configuration, typically consisting of an APET (Amorphous PET) core sandwiched between two PETG outer skins. GAG combines the stiffness and cost-efficiency of APET with the outstanding thermal welding, surface hardness, and high gloss characteristics of PETG.
Unlike PVC, our PETG/GAG films contain zero plasticizers or heavy metal compounds and do not release halogenated gases during high-temperature laminating or recycling. Our products meet REACH and RoHS directives and fall well within the VOC limits required in Switzerland for indoor residential renovations.
Our PETG and GAG decorative films are compatible with high-speed flat-paste laminating machines using Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) hot-melt adhesive systems, vacuum membrane presses, and profile wrapping equipment. The film backings are treated with a specialized primer to ensure strong adhesion and prevent delamination.
We supply a range of standard thicknesses from 0.15mm up to 0.8mm. For heavy-use furniture panel boards, we recommend our thicker GAG configurations (0.5mm - 0.8mm) to provide excellent impact resistance and ensure a flat surface profile over wood composite cores.
All shipments originate from our factory in Ganzhou. Film rolls are carefully packed in protective packaging to prevent moisture and dust contamination during transit. We ship to Swiss ports and dry ports (such as Basel, Zurich, and Geneva) via ocean freight or rail. The standard manufacturing and shipping lead time is 15-25 days depending on roll size and custom orders.
