Explore our core range of high-performance surface protection films, wood grain foils, and co-extruded polymers designed for industrial flat pasting and PUR lamination systems.
Analyzing key structural trends, technical requirements, and strategic challenges for international furniture brands, developers, and cabinet OEMs.
Global developers and residential customizers are rapidly phasing out high-emission paint finishes and traditional plastic formulations. Sourcing compliance relies heavily on recyclable thermoplastic polymers (PET and PETG) that yield zero off-gassing, aligning with European REACH standards and US CARB II parameters.
Modern production facilities demand film rolls that process flawlessly on industrial high-speed PUR flat lamination equipment (like Barberan or Friz). Critical processing thresholds include consistent film tension, stable dyne levels (≥38 mN/m) for strong adhesive anchoring, and resistance to thermal degradation under UV or infrared dryers.
High-traffic environments—commercial lobbies, modular hospital walls, and kitchen cabinetry—demand surface films that resist wear. Standard decorative films often suffer from micro-abrasions. Our advanced surface technology uses cross-linked polyurethane coatings (excimer cured) to provide ≥2H pencil hardness, scratch recovery, and sebum resistance.
A comprehensive comparative guide of chemical compositions, mechanical thresholds, and application matches for leading functional surface films.

| GAG Co-Extruded Film | APET Core with PETG Outer Layers | 0.20mm - 0.50mm | 1H - 2H | 39 - 43 mN/m | Good (Profile wrapping, flat paste) | Cost-effective eco panels, high-impact office partitions |
| PVC Decor Foil | Polyvinyl Chloride (Plasticized) | 0.12mm - 0.35mm | HB (With protective lacquer) | 36 - 40 mN/m | Exceptional (Profile & Vacuum press) | Economic housing, molded panel doors, rapid commercial fit-outs |
In modern decorative materials manufacturing, GAG film (PETG-APET-PETG) provides a smart balance between performance and cost. By sandwiching a highly rigid, cost-efficient Amorphous PET (APET) core between two ductile layers of Glycol-modified PET (PETG), we create a high-impact composite film.
The outer PETG layers provide excellent thermal bonding, making it easy to laminate using reactive hot melt (PUR) adhesives. The APET core contributes high tensile strength, ensuring the film remains flat and smooth even on irregular substrates like engineered particle boards or medium-density fiberboards (MDF).
To achieve a premium skin-feel matte finish without compromising durability, we use Excimer laser curing systems operating at a 172nm ultraviolet wavelength. This technique creates a micro-structured surface on our PET/PETG films before final thermal setting.
This micro-wrinkled surface scatters light reflections, resulting in an ultra-low gloss value (<3 units at a 60-degree angle). Additionally, the molecular cross-linking makes the matte surface resistant to fingerprints, scratches, and common cleaning chemicals.
Established in 2017 with roots extending back over two decades in the coating and surface hardening industry, Ganzhou Zhongyou Film Material Co., Ltd. is an innovative PET film manufacturer. We specialize in the research, development, and large-scale production of high-performance functional films.
With more than 8 years of intensive technical development, we have built a complete in-house manufacturing process. Our operations integrate raw resin extrusion, precision chemical coating, multi-layer thermal lamination, and high-accuracy slitting, ensuring consistent quality and reliable batch-to-batch performance.

Wide-format PETG wraps providing continuous grain alignment across modular wall panels.
Antibacterial-treated surfaces that comply with global public health and fire safety guidelines.
We offer custom surface solutions designed for whole-house design and furniture manufacturing. Our decorative PETG and GAG films provide premium, authentic finishes at a competitive cost, with high durability, simplified laminating processes, and reliable environmental standards.
High-gloss and super-matte films are highly sensitive to airborne dust. Even minor dust contamination can cause surface defects like dimples or micro-ruptures during the lamination process.
To ensure consistent surface quality, Ganzhou Zhongyou operates modern, climate-controlled, Class 100,000 dust-free cleanrooms. Each production batch undergoes strict quality control testing, including color matching (using ΔE optical sensors), cross-hatch adhesion testing, and heat shrinkage analysis.

Expert guidance addressing technical, environmental, and chemical challenges in surface material design and lamination.
The main difference is their chemical composition and flexibility. Standard PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is highly crystalline and rigid, making it suitable for flat-surface lamination. PETG (glycol-modified PET) contains a glycol co-monomer that prevents crystallization. This gives PETG greater flexibility and impact resistance, allowing it to conform well to profiles and deep-draw molded cabinet panels during membrane pressing without cracking or turning white at the edges.
PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) hot melt adhesive forms a chemical bond with the substrate by cross-linking with ambient moisture. Traditional EVA hot melts can soften under high temperatures, which can lead to peeling or bubbling. PUR adhesives provide strong heat resistance, moisture resistance, and a thin glue line, which helps prevent surface orange peel texture and ensures long-term bonding performance.
Our scratch-resistant films receive an inline, UV-cured acrylic topcoat or an excimer-cured polyurethane finish. This protective layer increases the surface hardness from a base level of HB to ≥2H (pencil test). It prevents micro-abrasions from handling and cleaning, and includes light-stabilizers to protect against discoloration over time.
We provide comprehensive ODM support, including customized color matching to ΔE ≤ 0.5, specific roll sizing, and custom thicknesses (0.08mm - 0.50mm). We ship our rolls in heavy-duty cardboard tubes secured on pallets with moisture-barrier wrapping. Each batch is labeled with a tracking number linked to its laboratory inspection report for easy quality assurance.
