PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and PETG (glycol-modified variant) represent a major step forward in surface materials. The inclusion of glycol prevents crystallization during processing, making PETG highly ductile, impact-resistant, and clear. Unlike PVC, these polymers do not emit hydrochloric acid gas or toxic fumes when heated, aligning with strict environmental laws like EU REACH and US CARB Phase II.
GAG is a three-layer composite sheet structure designed for maximum structural performance. The core layer is made of APET (Amorphous PET) for stiffness and cost-efficiency, while the outer skins consist of PETG. This combined design optimizes surface hardness, clarity, and thermo-bonding properties, making it an excellent alternative to solid cast acrylic sheets.
High-speed, high-yield flat lamination demands specialized material chemistry. Our decorative films are engineered with specific surface tension parameters (exceeding 38 dynes) on the adhesive-facing side. This profile enables fast, high-strength chemical crosslinking with Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) hot-melt adhesives, preventing delamination and blistering in hot and humid conditions.
Zhongyou's polymer films feature a specialized multi-layer construction. The top hard coat uses nano-ceramic and UV-curable crosslinked polyacrylates, achieving a scratch-resistance rating of up to 2H-4H (per ASTM D3363). PETG offers excellent clarity, impact toughness, and flexibility, containing no plasticizers or heavy metals. GAG is a co-extruded composite with a rigid APET core sandwiched between PETG outer layers, balancing high surface hardness with cost-efficiency. PVC is highly flexible and cost-effective, but is increasingly restricted in premium or eco-conscious projects due to environmental regulations.
Our top-tier decorative films feature a crosslinked, UV-cured acrylic nanotechnology hard coat. This surface achieves up to a 3H or 4H pencil hardness rating, making it highly resistant to daily micro-scratches while maintaining a clean super-matte or glass-like high-gloss finish.
